I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
